love party: the grooving

Get your bliss notes

Benny- my offsider at the hotel, our photographer and our very dear friend- and I made a habit of often breaking out in horrendous and uncoordinated dance routines when we were bored at work throughout the ski season. Always the photographer, never the model; well, not this time. When he joined us for a few photos, there was only one thing to do!
more photos here…

Most of our crew had retired for slumber in their hotel rooms. A small number of us, including bridesmaid and best man, my mum and dad and an odd one or two, danced the night away into the wee hours of the morning. But not before a quick unplanned dress change (yep, I got jagermeister all through my hair and on my dress). Class. I did not want the night to end…

Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend. I’m going to be busy, the Flemington Spring Carnival starts tomorrow and runs through till Saturday, and I’m working there all four days. It’s not an environment I’m all that happy to be working in and surrounding myself with; that of exploiting animals for entertainment and wealth. I can’t say I’m a fan of being in the midst of thousands of gamblers and serving hand and foot on people with way too many dollars and not enough sense either… but it’s a means to an end, and in a few short weeks, it’s all over and I’m out of here!

On a much brighter note, Catherine at The Spring has featured such.different.skies on her blog! I was so excited when she approached me for it, and thankful that she’s taken the time to shine a little spotlight on my website. Thank you sweet potato. Please check out her blog, it’s beautiful, as is she.
Lots of recipes to come soon. Foooooood!
