Remember my green smoothie soup? Well, for one reason or another, probably due to the fact that I don’t own a high speed blender, I find it hard to palate home made smoothies at the moment. The texture just isn’t right, particularly when I make green smoothies with spinach. So I’ve been taking to mine with spoons and toppings again. Yesterday, I made Glen and I banana.strawberry.macadamia milk.smoothies, but decided to turn them into sundaes.
Strawberry Sunday Sundae (raw, vegan, gluten free, soy free)
Smoothie
1 small banana
1/2 punnet strawberries
1/2 cup of homemade macadamia milk
Layers and toppings– as always, add anything you like!
- buckwheat groats
- chia seeds
- goji berries
- cacao nibs
- chopped dates
- dried cranberries
- coconut oil
I apologise for the lack of photo quality on my blog lately. As you know, I lost my instagram for a week or so, and now that it’s back I am like a woman possessed. There seems to also be the problem that I have too many cameras (I say that as if that is even a problem!) which makes me decidedly indecisive and when comes time to taking the shot I am relying on my iPhone. Shame on me.
Tara – I love waking up to a recipe post from you, because it inspired me to eat better – and feed my partner better – all day! He’s a vego (and sooo picky!) and I’m not, so I often end up making something quite healthy for myself and then making pasta with loads of haloumi, store bought sauce, and a few measly bits of some veggie like a tomato for him. It’s easy, and a short-cut, and totally not good enough! BUT – these are amazing and nutritious and anyone would love them… Thanks for the inspiration!
