What a PLEASURE it has been, changing my eating habits to include more raw and vegan options. I don’t think I have ever spent this much time in the kitchen, and I’m continually being rewarded with vitality for my efforts. The above was my breakfast this morning, it’s loosely based on this dish and was painfully delicious! Instead of making the overnight oats I simply soaked my chia seeds in some freshly juiced pear and strawberry overnight. Yum right? In between the layers of chia and banana soft serve I generously layered ground dried dates, sunflower and pumpkin seeds, and garnished the lot with some pears and strawberries that I dehydrated myself as shown below.
Tara’s raw ‘granola’! Even though I have been enjoying green juices for breakfast I wanted to try my hand at whipping up a nutrient dense, exciting, raw cereal alternative. I sliced strawberries, pears and apples and dehydrated them overnight, and combined them with dates, sunflower and pumpkin seeds, raw cacao nibs (shown below), almonds and when my buckwheaties are ready tomorrow I will throw them in there as well. Top it all off with my homemade almond milk and some fresh banana; BOOM!

3- Quinoa, I am currently sprouting and these guys should be ready the day after tomorrow.
4- Buckwheat groats, these are on their second soak and are about to be dehydrated over night before being added to my ‘granola’.
5- Raw cocao nibs, dark chocolate lovers should like this. I find them a little bitter on their own, but in a trail mix they are delish.
6- Coconut oil and water. Nom nom nom.
I have received two fantastic little comments since blogging about raw living that suggest I may be inspiring a few of you out there to introduce more food like this into your life. I am stoked! I want to hear more! This is certainly a growing priority of mine; self focus in the way of health and longevity, and outward focus regarding sustainability and environmental issues that a standard Australian/American/European diet ensue. While you will continue to read about my traveling lifestyle and inspirations, these raw posts are also hear to stay. I hope you don’t mind!
I have some wonderful ‘raw on the outside’ ideas I want to blog about; using raw food as beauty products! Give me a week or so and I’ll work on it. Also, my blog will be going through a few aesthetic changes shortly, please be patient with me!

I don’t know if you have Synergy Kombucha over there or not, but they recently have come out with Chia Seed Kombucha, if you have it there, you gotta try it!
I made something similar to your parfait last night. It included oats blended up with banana, layered with raisins, coconut butter (my FAVORITE part) coconut shreds, sunflower seeds, and chopped up almonds. It was to die for and so filling. Can’t wait to hear about your beauty products!
I love these raw posts – they inspired me to think of new things to try in the kitchen, and new ways to think about feeding my body. Have you bought a dehydrator?
