winter?

I haven’t blogged about snow is months. Simple reason- there is NONE! It’s heartbreaking. Here we are smack bang in the middle of winter and it’s almost as if you can see the melted snow pouring down the hill. Warm weather and lots of rain has almost destroyed our season… super lame. All fingers and toes are crossed for a few late season dumps seeing AS I HAVE PLANNED TO GET MARRIED IN THE SNOW! Ha! The irony. One can only laugh I guess. Ridiculous. Anyway I thought I would throw some photos from earlier in the season. When it was WHITE, and everyone was HAPPY and everything was RAD. Sighhhhhhh.

We all were so, so happy a month ago. I really do think it’s funny though- you have absolutely no control over mother nature… I miss snowboarding a lot (looking at patches of man made snow isn’t all that inspiring to make you head out for a ride!), but whatevs… at least our good friends over in NZ are getting pummeled with the white stuff now. Those poor guys had to wait an extra 4 or 5 weeks for the season to start.

When you live in the mountains so you can snowboard, and for whatever reason you can’t, it gets me thinking of SUMMER. Glen and I spent the last few days in Melbourne (I LOVEEEEEEE Melbourne, and will talk more about that later) and as we were driving back through the beautiful Victorian countryside, all the rolling hills and vineyards, the sun was hitting me in the face through the windshield and gave me that FUZZY BEAUTIFUL SUNNY SLEEPY FEELING :) Do you have any idea how long it has been since I felt that?! We got to the bottom of Buller, waited for a our ride and I very dramatically took a nap on the windshield. I’ve even gained a few freckles. Vitamin D is so wonderful don’t you think? I love winter, but man oh man oh man do I love my summer breaks in between. On that note, some lovely sun inspired shots.
