Self-Centred Sundays: Enemas & Soul Essences

Get your bliss notes

ssd ocean

Well, I hope you’re not tiring of beachside sunrise photos! Upon looking over my week of insty-pics, there’s nothing to show you except little glimpses of heaven on earth; Burleigh Heads. Plus, let’s be honest, an electric sunrise is a far more exciting snapshot then yet-another-green-smoothie!

Sentimentally, these photos are testament to the company I keep at the ocean; I really do have a friend in the energy of the coast, and whenever I’m feeling not-quite-right, or a little pissed off that my Glen has to work an extra week away, or even just a little creativity zapped, I trudge out of the house, bare foot, and mozie on over to the one place that always, always takes it all away. May those photos carry your worries away, too.

Oh, friends! The week I have had!

Carrying on from my theme last week of ‘next-level self care’, I’m happy to report that -drum roll please- I tried my first coffee enema- and now I’m hooked, and it’s a non-negotionable addition to my daily life. Of course, I texted my friend Jess Ainscough immediately afterward, and her encouragement and cheerleading beamed back at me through my phone, along with a gentle reminder to ‘keep your electrolytes up with green juices.’ Electrolytes. Got it. You guys should try it! They leave me feeling crystal clear in my head space, more focused, and with a gentle little buzz. LOVE.

Okay…

I want you that my life as I know it is changing rapidly right now. To the extent that to be quite honest, it’s difficult to write about it just now. Where on earth do you start when so many people rattle on about soul purpose and alignment and living your truth, and suddenly you find yourself there- actually discovering what that is (and subsequently, uncovering what is most certainly NOT).

This isn’t something that fell upon me. I have worked at this. I’ve sat my ass down every damn day and willingly walked into the silence without judgement or expectation of what it is I think I should be doing with my life. I’ve gotten to know my chakras. I’ve cleared old shit from the past. And I’ve dissolved juuuuust enough ego to allow me perceive what’s real. What’s really real.

What’s real, are the visions that take you on a journey back to who you are, back home. They’re the visions that crack you open and leave you either shedding a few tears or bouncing around with joy, because Yes! Oh yes! NOW I understand why I am the way I am!

So my beautiful readers, this is what’s going on. Currently, with the help of Belinda Davidson, I’m on a Soul Essence journey. We each have 12 soul essences, and in short, they make up the 12 spiritual strands of our DNA. To download this information takes time; this all happens in Chakra 8, but to get there, Chakras 1-7 need to be happy, healthy and balanced. So that’s where I am right now, in Chakra 8, hangin’ out in my temple, sittin’ on my pimpin’ golden throne; waitin’ and watchin’ as these 12 symbols present themselves to me.

So far, I’ve met 10 of them, and the more I learn about them, the more I learn about me.

I’ve tossed around in my mind how I can bring this information to you; my beloved reader, who is always so engaged in this space, and so generous with your love. And what I’ve decided upon, is that I’ll share this journey with you, in small doses. Buckle yourself in.

But you know what? It’s not all as intense and deep as it sounds. It’s fun, and light, and an utter adventure! My soul essences are revealing to me aspects of myself that thrive on and laugh-out-loud to passages such as this, from the book I’m currently immersed in; Mama Gena’s School of the Womanly Arts:

“In this book, Mama will articulate the skills, the opportunities, and the pathways a woman can access to become enthusiastically gratified. Along the way we will explore your deepest intuitions, your desires both great and small, and pleasure- as experience by all your five senses. I’ll show you the power that comes when you embrace all your contradictions- when you let Elegant and Slutty sit side by side, or allow Tacky, Tasteful, Over-the-top and Understated to appear simultaneously in the same ball gown. We’ll put Shy in her proper place, next to Abandon. We’ll invite unabashed Hilarity to disrupt the most refined dinner tables. You’ll see Voracious and Virginal are not incompatible. In these pages, Lust is exulted, Repression abhorred. The fragrance of freshly sweaty skin is more divinely valuable than Chanel No. 5…”

In other news, I’m writing a book! It will be available this year, and I’m immersing myself in the process of it. In fact, I even applied for the 28 day Bali Writing Retreat with Mastin Kipp from The Daily Love. I have an interview Wednesday morning! So please, don’t be shy with your prayers and well-wishes, I’ll take as much positive ju-ju as I can get! Thank you in advance.

As a warm up to this Soul Essence Journey I’ll be introducing here, you may want to check out the post I wrote for Belinda’s blog, titled: My Chakric Adventure. Think of it as my official coming out party about everything I’ve been up to behind-the-scenes. Like I said, it’s a warm up to what’s coming. Shit’s gotten more incredible and even more whackier since I’ve written that post.

Also, Nat Kringoudis interviewed me for her website, Fertile Body Heart + Soul. I loved this interview; short and sweet, potent and with a clear takeaway message to love the skin you’re in!

How I celebrated Self Centred Sundays this week

fingal

Twas lovely. A 6am walk along the beach, a 7am White Light healing and a kombucha stock-up at the organic markets, before packing myself a picnic and a few notebooks and heading south to Fingal Head. I spend four hours on a patch of grass next to the lighthouse, sitting in the sun, being cooled by the breeze. Just below me, waves were crashing into the rocks- it was the perfect soundtrack for a Sunday scribble sesh. I left really rejuvenated, completely balanced, and a little sunburn= one of my favourite combinations.

I topped the day off with a hot bath laced with epsom salts and essential oils, and stalked Danielle LaPorte’s youtube channel before crashing out.

Here’s how YOU celebrated! Hashtag that shit #selfcentredsundays

Looking forward

My intention for the week ahead: To create a week fit for an inspired writer. A comfortable, cosy atmosphere and space. The perfect blend of herbal tea, yoga pants and bright orange lipstick. Longer than usual journeys into meditation, and plenty-o-reflection in ze journal!

I’m going to say yes to: Crazy wicked opportunities that align with my intention, above. That means: an interview with Team Mastin on Wednesday morning, and jumping on board for the Hayhouse Writers Workshop in Melbourne, August.

And no to: Anything that’s even borderline ‘Meh’. Let’s keep it juicy and focused here. Punching out words. Rockin’ it with my clients. And bouncin’ on my tramp in between. There’s no room for meh-ness right now.

Alright. Enough about me! Babe, I wanna hear all about you!

In the comments, let’s kick-start some juice and focus for YOU. What are you going to say no to or let go of this week, that’ll allow you more time, energy and devotion to what really matters?

Here’s to kicking off Monday with a NO revolution.

      Hi Tara,

I recently started following you and am gaining so much inspiration from you!

This week I’m going to focus on not comparing myself to others and where I wish I was in my business and blog and just listen to my inner voice :)

Woo hoo, this post got my motivation levels up this Monday morning! Coffee enemas are GO hey? Right – need to order my kit!

This week is full steam ahead for me on the blog – writing, creating worksheets, videos and PDFs. The ‘generosity energy’ in the air is inspiring me so much right now.

AND giving back to myself with a glorious aromatherapy massage tomorrow. Yaya! x

Thankyou Tara for the wonderful words and inspiration. I had my first ever reiki session last week and oh my gosh it was just amazing. What I learnt from thatis I need to say NO to the words of my ego. I say no to doubt and fear. AND I now say yes to my truth, letting myself use my creative power and yes to manifesting my dreams.
Thankyou Tara, maybe one day we may meet!
      Sending you ju-ju goodness now!!
      Esther. :) xx
