Such Different Vixens

My stillness sister is a bottomless vessel of depth; served straight up!

Susana’s always looking to go deeper, to uncover more, to get into the very crevices of the psyche. She’s a force to be reckoned with and she damn-well knows how to hold a room. You can trust me on that one; together we collaborated on A Night of Stillness (which we have since put to sleep), and every one of those nights, I left a little more moved at her mystery. The two of us are so very different, and that is so very, very okay.

I adore Susana most when she’s laughing her big laugh, and I am SO excited to learn more about her in the coming months. Big things are brewing for her. I can feel it in my bones…

Sum up your mission in one sentence.

To love deeper and bigger…and to help others do the same.

Can you share with us one of your most vulnerable moments (and in hindsight, what made it so beautiful?).

It was an in-person coaching session. There were 4 of us present: myself, the coach, an observer and a mentor. I was feeling tender that morning from the incident the night before. In the past, I would of shrugged off the incident or swept it under the rug and quickly put on my joyful “it’s all good” fascade. But not these days. I brought the WHOLE truth of my experience to the coaching session and with it came a lot of tears and one mighty tender heart. It was messy. And not so pretty. It was all on the table and I had no where to hide.

This kind of truth telling and vulnerability allowed me to experience a major breakthrough…and that’s what made it so beautiful (and powerful!).

What turns you on?

Eye contact. Silence. Presence. Change. Progress. Truth tellers. Ambitious, creative, grounded & compassionate women. Books on psychology, spirituality & sacred business. Aha moments. The Divine feminine. Tunes that make me dance. Crystals & feather jewellery. The female body. The scent of burning sage. Nature (especially mountains, big trees & waterfalls). My girlfriend.

What makes your blood boil?

Lies and deceit. It makes my blood boil and breaks my heart.

How do you define confidence?

Showing up as YOU. Bringing your WHOLE self to everything you do.

When was the last time you experienced pure, unadulterated joy? Can you give us the juicy details?

Every freakin’ day! Seriously babe, my life feels like one big constant orgasm. With that said, I’m a big lover of the (frequent) random dance breaks that happen in my home. The other day, a song came on by Drake, and before you know it we were dressed all gangsta singing at the top of our lungs until we fell on the floor laughing.

What makes you feel most ENLIVENED?

Embodying presence.

Combining my passions with a business I love makes me feel ….grateful and alive and deeply fulfilled!

I am MOST grateful for…this life right now.

I secretly wish I could….be a hummingbird.

To me, the words ‘Such Different Skies’ mean … life is constantly changing so enjoy the view from wherever you stand.

Man, those ugly, messy, tear-stained, snot-dripping-out-of-your-nose-and-into-your-mouth times are So Damn Difficult in the moment. But so ridiculously gratifying when they lead to such cathartic change.
      Great interview. X

Absolutely! I couldn’t agree more Jess. Cathartic is the perfect way to describe these moments. Thankyou X

I SO love your mission! What more is there to life than love? As I settle into my 30’s, I realize that experiencing love is the greatest gift of our human-ness. I’m sad that I let an entire decade go by guarded and shut down. But I have sure made up for lost time….thanks for sharing your love! Hugs.

Lainna, thankyou. I have a beautiful mantra on my wall that says “in the end all that matters is how well did you live, how well did you love and how well did you let go”. So let go of the fact you spent your 20’s guarded and shut down – it helped you arrive exactly where you are now…and there seems to be a lot more love here X
