What really strikes me about Jules is her confidence. It’s the way she locks eyes with you through her videos and the fashion in which she projects her voice; thoughtfully and with presence. It kinda leaves you scratching your head, wondering if she’s telling cheeky little fibs about being only 23 years old. (Yep. For real)
She’s contemplative, sexy and a true owner of what she carries; wearing her heart on her sleeve and taking leaps of expansion towards (what I assume to be) fear, often. And that’s what I dig about her – her longing to scribble crayon outside of the lines… to jump on stage, to interview male comedians, to invest in herself, time and time again. She’s a total pro when it comes to self exploration and it’s beyond inspiring.
But beyond that, most of all, this beautiful, ambitious young woman just makes me smile. Her inner light is contagious, and I can’t wait for you to get to know her a little better.
Sum up your mission in one sentence.
To free myself so others can do the same, love fiercely, and lessen the suffering.
Can you share with us one of your most vulnerable moments (and in hindsight, what made it so beautiful?).
So I used to be really nervous about voicing my feelings, especially in my relationships with men. I didn’t trust a word that would come out of my mouth for fear of sounding stupid or not getting the core feeling across.
There was a particular argument I distinctly remember with my older boyfriend at the time, when I wrote out exactly what I wanted to tell him on a post-it note that I kept in my back pocket. I felt so vulnerable by having it there and feared that he would find it. Instead of speaking from my heart and truth, I relied on speaking from this note.
And then he found it…
It still sticks out in my mind as a pretty prominent experience that shows me how far I’ve come to now trust and allow myself a voice. Today I see that experience as a lesson to witness the beauty in polarity – that when pain is present, we still have the choice to choose love instead. By cracking myself open to my clients and on my blog now, I have the opportunity to speak with integrity and delicious vulnerability every day – a true blessing.
What turns you on?
Passionate people who take action, humble confidence, someone who stands apart from the crowd because it feels right and are not afraid of what others will think.
And British accents. So sexy.
What makes your blood boil?
The treatment of animals around the world and in the food industry – that shit is SO backwards.
How do you define confidence?
Confidence is humble and unapologetic. It comes through the tight bond you create with your unique expression, your truth. You don’t need to prove anything with confidence because you are embodying the part of you that allows you to rock out your life to a beat that plays melodically with your soul. It’s radiating your highest expression and not settling for anything less.
When was the last time you experienced pure, unadulterated joy? Can you give us the juicy details?
My most recent experience was two week’s ago when I found out that I won a $700 ticket to Mastin Kipp’s first Daily Love LIVE event. It was like a kiss from the universe letting me I’m on the right track.
The moment I found out, I did a legitimate happy dance and had a big ass smile across my face. The two-day experience was absolutely phenomenal as it was a time for me to dive deeper with my inner work and purpose. I had a powerful moment with Marianne Williamson, a great teacher and tears flowed. God the whole thing was beautiful.
Looking back, how have you most grown?
I’ve grown so much more into my voice and truth, which is instrumental to how I’m living my life now. I was 11 years old when my father + 4 other members of my family passed away all within one year which spiraled into years of trying to find my bliss, but did all the things that just steered me further away from it. I turning to alcohol, food, and my relationships to feel whole. Around 2010 was when I tapped into the reality of living in the moment, and from there it was like water on Earth – a natural current that continues to ground me and allows me to embrace everything that comes my way. I’m cracked open, teaching others what I know, and stepping into vulnerability every day.
Combining my passions with a business I love makes me feel …
Incredibly aligned. I knew from a young age that I had a message to spread and things to do in the world. I’m so damn-proud that I’ve been able to pick up on to the universal whispers to take on my fears and step into the place to create some mojo with a biz and life I absolutely love and that can serve others.
Few people know this about me, but I …
Tend to curse more than my blog reads, but the reason I don’t so often in my writing is because my mom’s on my newsletter! Talk about your mother’s voice in your ear…
Dropping the occasional F bomb is my way to keep things lighter with my clients especially in my field when conversations can go DEEP. I’m finding a balance for sure :)
I secretly wish I could …
Entice a crowd with a dreamy, sultry, jazz voice in a cool NYC bar.
I don’t have one, but am working my vocal chords, particularly in the car, shower, and when I know nobody’s home. Maybe I’m just prepping for my next life ;)
To me, the words ‘Such Different Skies’ mean …
We were born with two eyes that allow us to witness the same, beautiful vast sky above us, but through them our unique expression takes form just how the sky’s clouds dance into different shapes, colors fuse, and darkness rises. As much as the same moment is happening for everyone, there are infinite possibilities for the perspectives we choose to live out our lives. Skies the limit!
