Reaping what you sow. Collecting your boon. Welcoming in what’s rightfully yours. What goes around comes around.
All good and right and totally acceptable reasons to endeavour to give more of who you are to the world; to the people in it; to your circumstances.
But even better than that – even richer – is this excuse: Giving Feels Awesome.
Don’t be mistaken in linking ‘successful’ efforts of generosity with dollars spent. Believing that the only way we’re to feel more useful and significant to others is by beefing ourselves up, is a huge mistake. All we need to do, is open our hearts, and give freely what’s laying inside: love, softness, patience, compassion, presence. When we open our hearts to the possibilities of generosities, we radiate kindness, and consciously or not, we seek out more creative ways in which to serve.
I hope you’ll join me for #Project Generosity. I hope you’ll give more. PRESS PLAY

A few reminders:
You don’t have to move moutains to give more. Bear in mind that sometimes the richest things we can possibly give to those we love are the simplest. Like space; room to breathe, grieve, grow or finish a project.
Maybe you’ll more be more generous with attention and listening presence?
Maybe you’ll embark on a mission to lighten up the days of strangers that dance through your days?
Maybe you’ll cease withholding yourself sexually from your partner? Girrrl, give it!
Allow this project to be incredibly playful: tap into your inner child.
Allow it to feel natural and easy and light-filled.
I’m so looking forward to smiling at your hastags: #ProjectGenerosity
So, where are you going to start? What’s the very first act of giving that springs to that mind of yours? Would you be so kind as to share it in the comments? You very well may inspire some of our other Such Different Readers :)
Please share this post with your folks so we can see this hashtag really light up.
PS: Thank you for all the incredible feedback regarding the website updates :) Means the world.
Tara, I love this. Love. It.
My girlfriends and I used to do Love Note Drops all the time, and from one of their CBD balconies it was just magical. I’m going to step it up a notch and write letters to my girlfriends interstate and my grandmother, and send random little gifts along with them.
I already compliment random strangers on their outfits but I’m actually going to follow through on an idea I’ve been mulling over for ages, which is getting compliment cards printed that just say ‘You look amazing today’, so I can hand them out.
This project gives me tingles, and I’m all in.
Oh my GAWD! Yes! :)
Wow…I have been doing more and more little ‘generous’ things like this for the past few weeks and after reading this post it just hit the nail on the head…Tara you summed it all up for me. (a little synchronicity there for me!) Connecting in this way with more with people and the planet just feels good and makes for a better life for everyone..love it :)
Big smiles over here babe. I’m happy Life gave you a little synchro in the form of this post. Get out there and give x
I love the idea of little love notes going into strangers’ letterboxes. Such a little thing, but I can just imagine the kick I would get if I were to find that nestled in between my bills and catalogues.
I know right?! I would FLIP if someone left me something like that in my letter box :D
this is fantastic & feels perfectly timed. I can definitely feel myself having been withholding (gaah, damn!) presence, eye contact, openness & vulnerability. I have been feeling closed off and ironically closing myself off by not giving of myself to others.
yes, love this & can’t wait to share.
love to youuuu! xo
p.s. UM YOU LOOK FREAKIN’ BEAUTIFUL. you are literally glowing from the inside out and it is apparent everywhere from your eyes to your smile. keep shining.
Give it up babe – it’ll feel GOOD when you do :)
(And thank you for the lovely compliment)
Tara, I loved this! So simple yet so profound!! I want to be more generous as a wife, serving in the household with intention and without expecting recognition or anything in return.
You are literally beaming in your video. Seriously, gorgeous glow and soothing voice–gosh, I wanna be your best friend now!! hehe :)
Haha you’re adorable! Have I seduced you with this voice of mine ;)
Thanks for this comment babe – I’m glad you liked it x
Love this idea darling. x
Thank you chica x
Great project, seriously magical! I always say what the world needs is more love, more generosity, more kindness…..and who wouldn’t want to give, it just feels heart fluttering good!
We can always dig a little deeper and give a little more x
I’m IN! I want to make sure that I tell my partner how lucky I am and how friggen awesome he is daily to help him through a rough patch.
Everybody I pass already receives a sunbeam smile and hello from me so that’s a given……paying for somebodies coffee in a cafe just for the hell of it would be rad so consider that done.
Sending a free snack box to girlfriends just because I love them and also asking customers to nominate someone who they think deserves a free snack box every month is now on my to do list.
LOVE this Tara xxx
Shit yeah lady! This sounds AWESOME :)
First off, you look so freakin’ stunning in this video!!!!! Secondly, I am jumpin’ on the #projectgenerosity bandwagon guns a blazing!
My favourite way to be generous every day is using my smile! I know that receiving a unexpected smile or “good morning” on my morning walk can often set the entire tone for my day!
I love that I have the power to gift this feeling to another person too!
xxxx
Bloody Brilliant!
Always good to have a reminder to give more just for the sake of giving :)
I’m a smile sharing ninja already but I’m taking this as a challenge to get creative, think outside the box and see where else I can let the generosity juju flow!
Much love and gratitude for the inspiration you radiate out into the universe babe <3
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this… Thank you for being so uplifting and generous. I’ve included this in my recent ‘Links to Relish’ series on my site. Let’s spread the word!! http://solcollective.com.au/links-to-relish-4/
