Who’s Ready to Write With Me?
I’ve learnt a hell of a lot over the last two years.
A lot about resilience, about resistance, about surrender, about divine hustle.
A lot about what it takes to honour an idea and translate it into a sentence,
a paragraph,
a chapter,
a book.
About witnessing those fears of fraudulence and not ready-ness, but writing on, regardless.
About how freeing and life-giving it is to release your creativity and let it shine.
About how spectacular it feels to rip your freshly printed book out of the cardboard and feel it in your hands for the first time. (And the second, and the third)
This is not something I want to keep to myself. There are hungry hearts out there who – like me – want their words bound.
It’s time to make that happen.

Australia, hold onto your finest pens! I’m coming to city near you with my brand new, kick-ass workshop, called:
So, You Wanna Be An Author?
This is a 6-7 hour all-day workshop experience designed for the helpful, prose-loving, creative women among you who long to make your words more real.
You want to get out from behind your blog and hold your message in your hands.
You day-dream about the day when you can respond to the frequently asked ‘So, what do you do?’ with ‘I’m an author, actually.‘
The thought of your reader reaching for the next page makes your heart swell with purpose.
If it sounds like I’m in your head right now, then I would love to have you join me in what will be an intention-fuelled way to participate in 2015!
A snapshot of what we’ll be covering:
:: Crystallising your vision
:: Crafting an outrageously killer outline
:: How to write compelling chapters
:: How to navigate your first draft
:: Your super-exciting comeback (AKA: welcome to your second draft!)
:: Reconciling resistance
:: Hiring divine collaborators (designers, photographers, editors, type-setters, etc)
:: Self-publishing and promotion
:: Delicious Q&A session
:: More, more, so much more.
Workshops will be intimate, and spaces will be limited to 15 per city.
My debut workshop here on the Gold Coast saw 12 women leaving with clarity, through-the-roof inspiration, and most importantly, a concise action plan.

Just wanted to send you a quick and big THANK YOU for an awesome day of info yesterday, at your Oh Hi, I’m an Author workshop. Loved it all. Great tips, info and food (can’t forget the food). Beautiful hosted and well run. Thanks also for sharing your vulnerable and “shitty” moments too – it made it so much more REAL for me (cause in my, and probably most of our eyes – your writing is friggin brilliant!). Georgia
Not knowing what to really expect, your workshop knocked it out the park! I really enjoyed the content and your delivery style, I walked away from today feeling very inspired and supported. Thank you for welcoming us all into your home too and creating a space for connection. It was so good to be surrounded by positive, creative energy! Chrissy
Thank you for this beautiful workshop. Om my god you hae no idea how wonderful that was… Really, you are such a deep inspiration. Thank you. Eff yeah to books! Hayley
Today was amazing, I’m super pumped! Super inspiring and I learnt a bunch! Thanks for opening your heart, for sharing, and for being you. Jaz
It was absolutely mind-blowing! I now can’t wait to write it. Thank you! Ceri
Thank you. Today was so eye-opening, I can’t even begin to explain. Thank you for being so open, so honest and above all so generous, from the bottom of my heart. Your genuine wish for everyone in that room to succeed in what they set out to achieve and to follow their dream was so unreal. I can’t wait to share my story with you as you’ve done with me! Thanks for planting the seed and helping me navigate the otherwise daunting first steps of self-publishing. What a day! Adele

Oh Tara – one day before I get to the Gold Coast – BOO. Boo to that. My eye is on your site to hopefully catch this in Melbourne before I vamoose xx
Oh I would come to this in a heartbeat if it was coming to where I live (which its a pretty safe bet it isn’t haha) Argh I need to move just so I can take advantage of these sorts of things. I was journaling through one of the peace practices of your book just today and it sparked off what I know is the absolute perfect title for the book that is slowly emerging in my mind. And my new journal is getting filled much faster than I intended because I keep wanting to write down more and more notes from High. Down to the last 30 pages :)
Sounds wonderful!!! I will be there in spirit and look forward to following your journey!
I’ll be at the Sydney gig! Hanging out to hear when and when. x
