The BLISS List

Get your bliss notes

This week feels as though it’s been splattered in fairy dust; difficult situations transformed to miracles within minutes, and the ease and flow of evolution (and revolution) in my life has been a pleasure to witness. Time to reflect and appreciate. Join me…

1. Bulk Juicing

Fast food at it’s best. If you do this, make sure you fill the juice to the very top so when the lid’s secured, it’s airtight. This retains as much freshness as possible.

2. Wearing Hue by Mac

I love this colour, it’s the one I wore to my wedding last year; and I just adore it. It’s so naked and feminine and I love the way it looks almost white on my lips. If you watched my recent video, you’ll know I’m transitioning to all-natural beauty products. Can anyone recommend me a killer lipstick that’s not tested on animals? Please and thank you.

3. I Quit Sugar

I have a confession: I tried for a long time to really, really dislike Sarah Wilson‘s message, in fact for a while I totally did. While I was storming through life with my peace flag flying, promoting all things vegan and harmonising, I felt really confronted and to be honest, a little offended at her ‘forget about muesli, eat bacon and eggs for breakfast’ recommendations. But I’ve since loosened up my grip on this situation. Obviously I’m not going to dive into a plate of bacon any time soon (read: ever), but I guess I’ve become less of a preacher and more of an ‘everybody makes their own decisions, everyone is different’ kind of girl. I can’t tell you how good this feels. There’s no more judgement; if people want to hear about how I feel, I’ll happily discuss it. I even overheard a whole conversation last night about how much vegans and celiacs and lactose intolerant people pissed off this certain table of people. My blood didn’t even boil. I thought, meh, whatever.
Anyway, I digress! Sarah’s got some kick arse ideas, and I particularly love her theory about fat (that is: eat it!). Again, I’ll always steer clear of animal fat (with the exception of wild-caught fish on special occasions (there’s a confession in itself)), but when I’m snackish, or suffering from serious cravings- I go hunting for coconut oil, olives, avocado, tahini, nuts. And… I go to town on them.
I’ve flicked through I Quit Sugar quickly, but it’s already made my BLISS List. Today, it begins. Since it’s Saturday, and Saturday’s a readin’ type of day.

4. Getting Spruced Up For Lazy Days Writing

At the moment, I enter every day as if it’s a golden event. A blow-dry, a slick of lippy and some apricot cheeks, a nice cardigan. I’ve decided to start showing up, even if it is only to my computer.

And let’s not forget…

Group meditation with the boys (you heard right- Operation Spiritual Infiltration begins (insert evil laugh)) — Writing guest posts for other beautiful bloggettes. It’s such a thought provoking act of love, and I truly believe that some of the best posts I’ve written are for these lovely ladies: stay tuned! — This woman: a true friend of my soul, and it’s a friendship that totally whacked the air out of me. Love you Rach. — Overcoming obstacles and allowing solutions to flow my way — Going bananas on eBay. I’m now expecting seventeeeeeen books to show up in the post. You all remember how excited I get by books right? Right. Still, this must end — Getting my friends involved in my favourite youtube channel, Spirit Science, and contemplating life and soul and, well, spirit and science, over a bottle of pinot noir (which symbolically had a fibonacci spiral on it’s label. Sacred geometry is a huge topic covered in Spirit Science, and it’s one that makes my heart swoon). Nerd — And lastly, reading fizzy, delighted emails from my coaching girls. You darlings make my days all the more meaningful.

And you? Go ahead, share your weekly goodness below!

Your idea of “showing up” is great Tara. I’m guilty of bumming around the house in a jumper and trackpants more often than I care to admit. Its something I might have to apply!

I also of guilty of bumming around the house in same old hoody and pj pants.. thing is… it’s tough to dress well when you have no heating. The warmest clothes are the ones to wear. Still, getting correct can make a big difference to concentration and I’m gonna try it this week. Thanks for the tip on filling up juice bottles right to the top… I never pre-juice for fear of nutrient loss and this idea will save time!
