Hello beautiful! I’m so glad you’re back. Today’s video is all about the easy changes we can make when purchasing beauty products. Obviously we want to be moving away from toxicity without compromising quality, so I wanted to show you a few of the products that I’ve introduced into my daily routine.
Please, please excuse my chipped nail polish. I am so clumsy with these type of things!
Here are the links to the companies I mentioned:
Rocky Mountain Soap Co > Kogi Naturals (shampoo + conditioner) > Hurraw! Lip Balm > Bobble > Gabriel Cosmetics > Zuii Organic > Tinderbox

*** Let me just correct myself by saying that not ALL professional hair care brands are toxic. More and more I’m seeing new, kick arse brands come on the market that are totally certified and amaze balls. Just watch out, and please read your labels. :)
I’ve been using Structure, It’s 100% vegan & i love it.
Probably not as great as everything your’re using but it’s a step up from the normal Joico I’m used to :)
Love this! I switched my makeup and cosmetics from toxic to natural and my skin looks waaay better. Hope we can catch up when you’re in Sydney Hunny xx
Great video! If I follow your suggestions, will I look like you, Tara? :) Love all of your awesome tips. I really like products from Mychelle and Davida, both are 100% vegan. Thanks for the awesome video!
Great tips! – one question – I’ve only ever heard good things about the Body Shop so was intrigued by the comment you made when you said they are a ‘cop-out’. I don’t usually buy their products, but I have been toying with the idea of moving away from my chemically laden routine to a more natural one and they were actually in my mind to go to.
Mukti skincare is wonderful – their Aloe Vera Moisturiser is awesome for oily skin…(not sure about the vegan rating though)…
I used to use Paw-paw ointment all the time on my lips and skin etc until I read in a post by the lovely Zoe Foster that it was just a petrochemical product with the tiniest percentage of fermented fruit. Yet somehow that product has a reputation of being healthy and good for you… My sister-in-law uses it on her baby’s bottom for nappy rash etc, and when I saw her using it I had to bite my tongue to stop from bashing the balm and making her feel like a bad mother. Instead I tried to positively speak about the balms that I have changed to instead… Funny how some prodz can get ill-deserved reputations as being good-for-you. Excellent, sneaky marketing right there…
@ Anon : Structure, got it- will suss that one out!
@Carrie : You are so sweet, haha!
@Sig: Hello! Thanks for dropping by! I should have explained myself more in this video, I’m sorry. A lot of the Body Shop’s products are still toxic- a quick read of most of their ingredient labels is pretty confronting. Although, I have heard recently that they’re under pressure from their customers to clean up their products, so watch this space.
@ Jess: Yay! Go Team Natural x
@Anon: I’ve heard so much about Mukti and I can’t wait to try it out. x
@Jess: Hi Jess! I love hearing from new readers! Argh, Paw Paw ointment is the best example of the worst of them. Evil, evil stuff. Very, very sneaky xx
You definately have to look up Adorn mineral cosmetics Hun, they are Aussie, vegan & beautiful!!!
@Sig Just watched this amazing video and loved it. Definitely got some helpful hints of more natural products. I agreed with @sig that was confused as to why Body Shop wasn’t the best, thanks for clearing it up for me Tara :)
Hi
I’ve only recently come across your blog and loving it…was wondering if you had checked out Living Libations. They are based in Canada and create the most awesome skin/teeth/hair care from organic, plant-based, wild-crafted ingredients.
