I’ve been thinking a lot about super powers. Like about how readily I can bend and stretch my reality just by thinking about it. And that, for decades (centuries, even?) humanity has been trying to crack the code of time travel, when in actual fact- thought is time travel. You want to travel back in time? Close your eyes and go there. Feel the textures, smell the aromas and be romanced by the taste of it.
Time travel is also a particularly useful manifestation tool- want to know whether you’ll be ‘successful’, abundant, or just plain happy? Close your eyes, and go there. It’s already happening. Truth is, I believe in what I can imagine just as much as what I perceive to be reality. Often I believe in my golden future projections more, and trust me, this a killer doubt-buster.
Today’s post is short and sweet. How do you measure you success?
I’ll go first.
When I pay my bills without overwhelm.
When I feel like a writer, not just a blogger.
When I get a lot of email traffic. I love reading words of praise and it makes me feel strong and useful when someone’s taken a tiny portion of their day to say hello.
Lingering, super tight cuddles from Glen. They let me know that I’ve been an especially good wifey.
When I’m excited to meditate.
When I’m writing so easily and fluidly that I touch-type at the speed of sound while simultaneously looking out the window and wriggling my body in an awkward dance that helps to physically push the words out onto the screen. Phew! It’s a sight to behold.
When I feel that my coaching is making a difference to some lives out there.
When I crave what’s good for me.
When I’m afraid, but I do it anyway.
How about you? What gives you super powers? What makes you beef up with strength and a successful mindset? Share it below.

Great post! For me, it is just a feeling; a knowing. The things you mentioned are spot on – I feel those as well – when writing flows, when I am excited about my day, when I feel like I’m ‘on top’ of things, when I am taking steps towards what I want! But overall it’s a feeling I get, I feel so clear and focused. It doesn’t last too long for me unfortunately! I am learning how to harness & focus.
Love this, Tara. Hmm, what makes me feel successful…
> finding at least 10 minutes in my day to just sit and DO NOTHING
> when people say thanks to me even if I just did something so small
> when friends/family/clients as me for advice
> contributing financially to my family
> doing the business woman/mum/wife dance with a good rhythm
> wearing skinny jeans!

Great post! When I step out of my comfort zone and when I hear from a client, friend, or family, that my health coaching has helped them tremendously and changed their perspective on healthy living and self-love (I go way deeper than weight and nutrition with my peeps. I have to remember the comfort zone thing – it’s so easy not to push through fears. Thanks for the reminder!
I love what you say about super powers, I just used mine one second ago to peek into my beautiful future and be grateful for my amazing past. Back in the present now. :)
To me, Success = Happiness =
When what I say, think & do are in perfect harmony.
When I am being my true self, speaking my authentic truth, with nothing to hide.
When abundance manifests in my life at every single moment.
When there is no resistance at all.
When I can support myself financially + money flows to me easily while I’m doing what I love doing!
Short & sweet post indeed, love you Tara!!
such a great post! XOXO!!
Love your thoughts on time travel. That’s how I wrote my first book. I sat and connected with the time it was already in existence and pulled it through from there. Success for me comes in receiving random emails from clients about how much benefit they’re getting/had from working with me. It’s in writing amazing articles and creating products/services that others love. It in mentoring someone in the process I’ve developed and see it affect the lives of their clients too. What’s interesting is that for me success isn’t necessarily financial. Though every bit of money I find – and I find a lot regularly (like just now with a pound in my paper bag that’s not from me) is a sign that the universe is supporting my success and will offer immense rewards in return.
I love your success list Tara, because it’s full of little things that add up to big things. I spend a lot of time beating myself up about the big things I’m yet to accomplish… finishing my PhD, landing a permanent academic job, figuring out what I’d really rather be doing with my life than working a permanent academic job, buying a home… it’s endless… but I think if I could just concentrate on the smaller victories each day, they might just add up to something remarkable.
Inspiring as ever, my friend.

For me success means getting things done while keeping positive and leaving time for naps, friends, good food, love and life. I sometimes forget all those in the drive to be productive.
YES! For me, my superpower moments are similar:
When I SEE MIRACLES that others may have failed to see
When I’m overtaken by gratitude by the loving support of my community
When I experience my client’s SOARING in their lives
Thank you for your beautifully short & sweet post that reminded me how truly “super” I am :)
Love it!!
Success for me has shifted over the years SO much. It used to be getting great grades, then that rad job, then acquiring X … you get the picture ;)
Now success for me is getting really in the zone on my yoga mat, in the zone when writing and cooking something super yummy.
xx
Great post. I was just having a conversation about dreaming yourself into reality with my sister-in-law. She is trying to loose weight but is constantly telling herself how fat she is. I think this post articulates so beautifully the need to think yourself into the reality you desire. Well done!
Great list. I think if we were to write down daily the things we do right instead of dwelling on the mistakes, we would all feel truly powerful.
Ah ladies! You rock! Thanks so much for your responses I feel so inspired right now. I think it’s nice to break the ‘success’ mould, and for us to really believe in and be comfortable with what makes us truly happy. Bravo to you all x
I measure success by being able to tuck my kids in every night, by helping other women achieve their business dreams, by growing a tomato in my garden, by noticing nature, by laughing with my sister.
