Super Juicy Blogs

Get your bliss notes

Hello you!
I’ve had a wonderfully lazy Monday. The weather is cold enough outside to grant me a day of home cooking, hot cocoa and lots of online inspiration. On days like this, I like to tell myself that I’ve spent my time at Spiritual University, which is truly what it is; connecting with women, discovering new recipes, upgrading my ‘toolkit’ for living my best life, and if nothing else, admiring all the pretty colours and extraordinary words on all your blogs!

Like many of you, I’ve decided to start sharing beautiful websites that I’ve either stumbled upon or followed religiously for some time. If I discover a blog, some rock star advice or a wonderful program, I have felt this unexplainable, innate desire to share it. I know I am always thankful to the generous bloggers out there who so unselfishly promote both my blog and wonderful new websites that I otherwise might not have found. And so, in spreading the love and returning the karma, Super Juicy Blogs is my gift to your hungry soul.

1. Golubka

2. Healthy Crush

3. Her Future

4. The Real Meal

5. Vegan Era

While I’m on the topic of sharing, I thought I would extend an email to you that I sent around to a group of girlfriends recently. I have a new friend here in Whistler who is a Reiki healer {hi Jules!}, and I was telling her how I came to find out about Vegan Era‘s 21 Day Live Vegan Program, which starts March 11.
To cut a long story short, I am really, really excited about this program, and thought that although I live on the other side of the world to my friends back home, I might be able to convince them to join me in the program to create a sense of community despite the distance between us. A community, that for twenty one days, focuses entirely inward {health, wellbeing, vitality, energy, weight loss}, yet ironically the results will positively ripple outward {environment, sustainability, animal welfare}. I encountered a little bit of stress selecting who I thought might appreciate the email. Are they going to think I’m a weirdo? Are they going to scoff at this? Well, Jules set me straight. She reminded me that I have a friendship with these women for a reason, and that I was by no means forcing them to do anything, just simply offering them tools and {my favourite} a choice.

And so I thought, bugger it! I’m going to send the same invitation to my wonderful, generous online community. Now, call me lazy, but I’m going to copy and paste the email I sent to my friends, I hope you don’t mind.

Hi girls,

Well, this is a long shot, but when I read this and decided I was going to do it, I also thought of you ladies. Partially because I thought maybe, you MIGHT be keen to do it, but mostly, you’ll probably just find it interesting and decide against it, but NONETHELESS, here I am, spreading the love.
Vegan Era is an Australian based website owned by Mandy and Dave. Dave is Patrick Rafter’s little bro, and Mandy is Aussie’s first eco model (she’s rad because she lives in a renovated shipping container on top of a hill. She’s doubly rad because she’s a cancer survivor). I’ve been following this awesome website for a few months now. It’s a beautiful sanctum for recipes, eco fashion, cruelty free beauty, gardening tips and all that wholesome, luscious stuff.

Anyway, these two love birds have decided to launch a 21 Day Live Vegan Program in March. Mandy contacted me and asked whether I’d like to have a crack (I’m vegetarian, but slowwwwly working towards vegan), and I’ve decided to jump at the chance.

21 days of love filled living. Veggies, fruits, delicious whole grains. Seeds and nuts. 100% goodness.

I’m really excited about it.

If you join, you’ll get daily emails, 24/7 support, recipe ideas, videos, nutritional info, and advice from special guest star contributers. Plus, it’s an awesome opportunity to support a small Aussie based company, trying to spread the good stuff- a message of love and peace and sustainability.

I know what you’re thinking- Where will I get my protein and calcium from?

I’m not going to go into that- but just PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, just.don’t.think.it. A varied plant based diet full of sexy greens and energizing grains and delicious fruit cares for and nurtures your body more that any decaying flesh and mucus (aka meat and cheese… maybe those words were too strong?) ever could.

So, what do you think? Are you curious? Do you want to dip your foot into this and see how it feels, if only for the 21 days? Maybe you could treat this as 3 weeks of being good to yourself? Like a detox? Maybe it could be an experiment? Maybe it could be a platform for you to broaden your horizons and open your heart to a life of non-cruelty.
My 25th birthday is coming up soon in March, so I couldn’t think of a better time to do this. Remember, positive, often life changing things like this are never about restriction (I can’t eat that, I’m not allowed to have that)… it’s instead about opportunity. Will you join me for three weeks of kick ass energy, clearer skin, brighter eyes, a settled tum and kinder heart?

x

So. What do you think? Find out more here…
I hope you all have the most amazing week. I’ll be back soon with some recipes.

Hey, thanks for the share. :) It’s cool when you link out to good content because it’s the kind of stuff I’m not necessarily searching the internet for – like Headspace, which is awesome. I wouldn’t have found that otherwise. I’m excited to check out some of these other links! Good luck with your friends, I think that program is a great idea!
