I have a confession to make. I sat down to hand write this blog post (as I do with all of my posts these days), with the intention of wrapping up my year, month by month, similar to what I did this time last year.
I wrote a hefty intro, which oozed love and gratitude, and I had just finalised writing about March (which was an epic month for me), before I suddenly scribbled out every word and ripped up all my post-it notes.
For fear of my hand falling off, I simply cannot carry on writing about my year in that way. I am that grateful for 2012. It has been that fulfilling and that magical. I gave that post a good crack, trust me, but I am bloody exhausted. How could I possibly express how much this year has meant to me without reaching the likes of 5000 words?
It has been so full.
So revolutionary.
So surprising.
So humbling.
I have felt supported.
Terrified.
Blissed out.
Immensely free.
Frustratingly trapped.
Connected.
Nervous.
Peaceful.
All of it.
I am double the woman I was last year. I’ve more love in my cells; more smiles, too. More hope. More knowing. More let’s just go for it and see what happens! then ever before. I’m more conscious.
I barely even know what to say. So let’s just roll with a photo montage, followed by a good old fashioned love letter, shall we?
I mean it. I actually don’t know what to say. I’m sitting here looking like a stunned mullet who doesn’t recognise itself (you can trust me on that one- I just checked my reflection). Looking at all those photos and beautiful memories in one place makes me misty. What.A.Year.
It goes without saying that most of what has filled me up this year would be null and void if it were not for YOU. Thank you for being a Such Different Babe. I love you.
PS. 2013 is going to be fucking sensational.

Stunning post Tara. Isn’t it amazing to look back over the year and really take stock of how much has changed and how much we have grown as a person.
So beautiful to see all of your shifts and transformations and the photo’s are a beautiful way to sum that up!! I remember that photo from the ‘mount buller’ montage where you started offering your coaching for $50… and look where you are now sista. Wow!!

Simply beautiful…I can feel your gratitude and love just oozing out of every delicious word…It is such a magical time of year, not because of the holidays and gifts, etc., but rather because it gives us the very biggest and best opportunity to take stock of our accomplishments, of this magical thing we call our life, and give thanks and appreciation for the opportunities we’ve experienced. It allows us to feel pride in our work, our deeds, our experiences, everything we’ve felt and overcome and succeeded in within the year…I know that I’m about to do the same thing on my blog, once I finish this and brew a cup of herbal tea! I agree. This time of year is so electric and buzzed out. And I’m with you, I think it’s so nice to pause and appreciate and release, rather than just glide by unconsciously. A new year is a symbolic things that deserves getting excited about.
