Few things top my list of favourite drinks! Fresh young coconut water, complete with flesh!
Ubud is an organic, raw foodie, vegan paradise. I found these chocolate vegan brownies which were to die for, as well as some raw, seedy, nutty bliss bars, which we bought for our hikes. On one of our treks we found a restaurant named Alchemy, which specializes in raw food. Needless to say, this excited me!
Overlooking the rice paddies with organic cocktails.
Sari Organic. If you ever make it to Bali, go there. Just go. I don’t even know where to start; cruising through rice paddies trying to find an organic restaurant you saw a sign for a while back. Just awesome. They served us a totally delicious tofulafel. How did they do this? HOW? It was amazing.
Enjoying a mango.pineapple juice.smoothie.
Bali Buddha served us up this beautiful living food plate of raw flax crackers, sun dried tomatoes, pesto and guac.
Earling morning produce markets in Ubud.
As you can probably tell, this was a healthful holiday for me. This was certainly the first holiday I have been on as a vegetarian, and I could barely think of a better place to start. I felt fit, energized and spritely; regularly swapping beers for whole fruit smoothies and coconut water, and I don’t think I have ever eaten so many vegetables in such a short space.
Have you ever been on a healthful holiday, whether intentional or not? Or are you more indulgent?
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!
I want all of this in my belly naoowwww.
