In times of comparing, competing, frustration, blood-boiling-anger, procrastination, cravings, monkey-mind-mania, download the FREE pdf attached to this post, and turn inward. But not before watching this 2 minute video. The outline below will give some clarity and direction when answering your questions. Eventually, what you’ll notice, is that it always circles back around to the truth.
1. The Issue
Allow this to be uncensored. Don’t hold back. What is really, really pissing you off/ making you feel small, invisible, inadequate? What’s going on? Unleash, sweet potato!
2. What Part of Me Feels Disturbed Right Now?
For this to really work, you need to understand that you’re multi-faceted, multi-dimensional and that yes, you do indeed have several inner personalities. So, stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the part of you that is hurting.
Is it your inner child, your victim, the part that feels as though it’s never doing enough? Is it the part of you that needs validation? Your inner critic? The part of you that holds onto a scarcity mindset? Get honest here.
3. What SHOULD I do about this?
Note: while answering this, you’ll probably rattle off a list of to-do’s that in actual fact, have nothing what-so-ever to do with the pain you’re feeling. That’s okay. Allow yourself to write them down. For example, this is where you’ll write things like: create a marketing plan, make a green juice, brainstorm new ideas, go for a run…
4. What do I NEED?
Hear that? That’s your heart creaking a little. Listen to what she’s whispering to you, because I betcha she doesn’t need any of your answers to question 3.
5. Where can I get what I need?
6. When can I get it?
For example, when I did the exercise, I was craving silence. Zero distractions. Obviously, I can access silence in any moment- right now! But it was this very question which prompted me to immediately sign up for a 10 day silent retreat in June.
Let’s quickly circle back. Read over your answer to question 2.
7. Does that sound like my authentic self?
8. What three words can I use right now, which’ll remind me of who I am?
9. So now. What is the ONE thing, that I need? Right in THIS moment?

Yellows flying!!!! MUCH love and light to you Tara!!!!!
I’ve been following your blog for a few months now Tara and this post is exactly what I needed to hear/read. I’ll definitely be using your beautiful PDF to help with the anger/frustration I have been bottling up lately. Thank you so much. xo
I don’t know how I had never found your site before, but I just have to tell you I am SO GLAD I did.
The last few weeks my soul has been telling me that I was about to experience a big shift. And I truly believe finding you (and the host of other awesome vixens you feature) is part of that shift.
I’m loving your writing. Maybe it’s because we’re the same age, and because I’ve struggled with my own addictions, but MAN. Everything you say hits home for me in a massive, massive way.
But what I truly think is most inspiring about you is the fact that you’re SO refreshingly honest about where you’ve been and where you are. It’s rare that you see somebody out here blogging who openly admits that they’re STILL “doing the work” day in and day out. It makes your story so much more relatable. And more than that, it makes me believe that I too can go from where I am, to where you are. :)
Thanks for being you! xx
