Hello. I have had so much to blog about lately, but alas, I have been caught up living the life of the love party planning, snowboarding young lady that I am. I am getting beyond excited. One of our guests at the hotel I’m working at had their wedding today, it was a tiny ceremony, with just their children and us hotel staff as their audience. It was beautiful and simple, and I mean SIMPLE. One of the guys toilet paper-ed up one of the four wheel drives to make it look somewhat indicative of ‘Just Married’. Very good fun. Anyway, it was a beautiful environment to be around, the only weddings I have been to have been my mum’s (she’s been married 3 times, and I’ve been to 2!), so weddings are a bit of an unknown to me. But there was so much all encompassing love in the air today, it’s hard to imagine that will be Glen and I in a little over two weeks. It’s such a STRANGE and WONDERFUL place to be in life. I can’t wait to have our family and a few good friends up here in alpine Australia with us, drinking nice wine, eating delicious food, laughing non stop and creating some beautiful memories. Sounds nice.
Speaking of creating lasting, permanent, beautiful memories: tattoos! I love them. Fully blown, innate, wholehearted tattoo lover right here. And it’s high time I get another. The above image is my inspiration for the next one. I am mildly obsessed with compasses, particularly those of the antique/ship style, and I think I’ve had this little obsession since I was 8ish, when I first watched Pocahontas. Seriously, what an epic movie. Following your heart, moving where the wind pushes you, relying on your senses and everything else in the natural world to guide you to the next direction. Hells yeah! That’s what it’s all about.
So I have been glued to your blog for two days now and I was like wow this chick is pretty cool….read a bit more….there is some really good information here…..read a bit more…..wow we have a lot of the same viewpoints about what life means to us…..came across this post….HOLY SHIT DID WE JUST BECOME BEST FRIENDS! (*Stepbrothers)
I can’t believe you referenced Pocahontas, I nearly cried. I am getting my third tattoo in Canada (where I am originally from.. I now live in Australia) in December which lo and behold is a compass on my left shoulder…with a Pocahontas quote around it. So all in all….
I just want to say, I really appreciate you.
