From The Start: Calling All Crystal Enthusiasts

Yesterday I sent the call out on Facebook & Twitter: For tomorrow’s post would you rather a write-up on crystals, or a video blog?- and my noggin lost out! Well my friends, when you ask you shall receive.

I’m going to start riiiiiiight from the beginning- I know there’s a few of you who are intensely interested in this whole crystal biz- and that thrills me, so why don’t we make this a regular topic? Okay then, good.

So, we’re all spiritual wanna-be’s around here, so I’m going to assume you believe that everything is energy- no exceptions. Everything is energy. We’re all made out the same stuff. The difference between a human being and a crystal (or an animal or a plant) is the frequency in which we vibrate. Our consciousness sets us apart. We perceive our world as a human collective, and this world is infinitely different to the world that a tree perceives, or a chameleon, or a rock. Nonetheless, we are all alive.
The energy from crystals is raw and untainted; pure, and using the Universal knowledge stored in crystals, and then re-programming them with your intention- is a powerful way to boost your manifestations and enhance your meditations. Crystals are magical and fun! I get excited talking (typing) about them, and now they’re apart of my daily life.

CHOOSING CRYSTALS

Crystals choose you. More specifically, I believe the Universe chooses the crystals for you. You may find yourself glancing at a huge display of stones, feeling totally overwhelmed, when suddenly your eyes settle upon one- and often it’s not the biggest or shiniest. Don’t ignore this. When I was living in Whistler, I was given some beautiful advice for deciding whether any given crystal’s energy would suit me. It goes like this-

// Hold the crystal in your left hand and cover it with your right.
// Close your eyes (don’t be embarrassed- the shop keepers in these places would be hella used to this craziness).
// When you take a deep breath in, imagine breathing all the energy from the stone into your heart centre.
// Hold it there for a few seconds.
// When you exhale, push the energy from the centre of your heart, slowly and lovingly, out into your auric field. You may want to imagine the energy as the colour of the stone in your hand, or the colour pink, for love.
Stay with this energy for a few moments, imagining its beautiful vibrations pushing to the edge of your aura. While you’re in this energy, allow any sensations or messages to guide you. You might feel a burning sensation in your left hand, a flutter in your heart, or you may even hear guidance. Remain open, and the decision will be made for you.

At the same metaphysical store in Whistler, I was scanning a display of crystals with my friends Jules, and kept mentioning how beautiful a particular piece of Aragonite was. Jules is ridiculously intuitive, and as I was walking away to pay for my crystals, she said aren’t you forgetting something? She put the Aragonite in my hand, and it bit me! Holy shit! Okay, okay! When I got home I read up on Aragonite and found that its healing properties matched exactly what I needed at that time. That’s another magical thing about crystals, you’ll often find after taking them home that they’re exactly what you need. Crystal magic and synchronicities = BFF’s.

You also need to know that crystals given as gifts are supremely powerful. They are sent to you with love by the Universe, by detour of a loved one, and should be treasured!
