Homemade Pear & Apple Sauce

Get your bliss notes

Just a quicky for you today. Delicious, comforting and versatile pear and apple sauce; it can be added to almost any dish, sweet or savory. Here’s what you’ll need:

Roughly chop one pear and one apple.
Place in a pan with 2 tablespoons water and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder.
Do not add an sugar, dollface. Ya hear me? Hold the sugar! Pears and apples are sublimely sweet, now why go ahead and ruin everything with white death?!
Throw a lid on top of the pot and let it simmer away for about 20 minutes. Once the time’s up, blend the mixture for 15 seconds or instead, just use a potato masher.
Pour the mixture into a glass jar and refrigerate.
This tastes awesome, like a McDonald’s apple pie without the… everything {wasn’t it legitimately reported that they actually use chokos instead of apples?}. Enjoy this homemade goodness:
on top of your ultimate oats or granola,
as a sugar substitute in baking, much like date paste,
as a filling for apple pie,
as an addition to your salad dressing,
throw a heaped tablespoon into your daily smoothie,
as healthy jam atop your favorite bread or crackers,
add some sweetness to your roasted veggies, or

Enjoy it just like this, as a snack!
