On Wednesday night, I got high. High as a kite.
Beating heart.
Nervous excitement.
Jittery enthusiasm.
Energy-a-plenty.
Long-winded, excitable conversations.
When my head hit the pillow well past midnight, that all too-familiar feeling washed over me. My ears were ringing, and the thump of heart was deafening. I can’t sleep.
After I eventually managed a mere four hours of rest, I recognised a feeling in my belly that I haven’t felt for a while; not quite hungry, not quite ill, but certainly not quite right.
I was feeling a little precious.
Except, I actually didn’t get high on Wednesday night.
And in fact, I was rather well behaved! I sipped peppermint tea and ate Loving Earth chocolate and spent most of the night with a huge smile on my face!
So, what’s up with my faux hangover?!
I took to the stage.
Drenched in a maxi-dress, perched in front of 100 stunning, open-hearted, enthusiastic women (of all ages!), sitting alongside these / three / goddesses, I had a microphone in one hand, and a chunk of Chrysocholla* in the other.
Cue: adrenaline- top shelf adrenaline, the very best of it. This is what my tagline ‘Get high on the good stuff’ is all about. This.is.it.
This is the type of high that empowers you, yet at the same time, reminds you that you’re about to haress something big, and great, and meaningful.
Sometimes, you cannot stop the nerves. You simply can’t. You can’t stop your palms from sweating or you heart from racing, but what I noticed on Wednesday night- or, more accurately, what I felt- was that the very presence of (this type of) adrenaline and anticipation is the presence of something divine and golden.
How can you harness this understanding in your own life? What if, before a job interview, exam or first date, you responded to the adrenaline coursing through your body with a script like: ‘Okay, I get it. Something significant is about to happen in my life. I feel you. Let’s go for it.”
Use your God-given rocket fuel to your advantage. Embrace those sweet little anxious moments as very best you can, with a few long, deep, intentional breaths. And then, jump!
I want you to know this: jumping is worth it, babe! It’s so, so worth it!
I’ll choose getting on stage to discuss Self Love + Sisterhood over a line of speed any day, thanks very much.
I found a new home on stage; a home I wasn’t even looking for, let alone expecting to find. I can’t put it into the words, the grounding sensation that accompanied looking out into a sea of eyes I’ve never met before, while simultaneously feeling: Hey… I know you.
Speaking from my heart space, truly.
Beaming out love.
I know now, more than ever, that our nervous system activates to ensure that our attention redirects from our heads to our bodies.
Course correct. Dive in. Cause ripples!
A Celebration of Self Love and Sisterhood will go down in history for me; what a beautiful night. A huge thank you to my dear friend, Yvette Luciano, who has combined her talents for PR and events with her unabashed passion for wellness, spiritually and community to create her very own company, Earth Events. Your debut was stellar honey, we are all so proud of you.

with our most precious cheerleader, Rach MacDonald.
Coming down from the event, inspiration is running at an all time high! There’s so much to tell you, but at the risk of spoiling the show for those in Sydney in Melbourne (we’re going on tour!), for now, I’ll continue hitting my journal, as I learn more and more about myself, my soul sisters, self love, and women as a whole.
Hold on to your hats SYD and MEL, Melissa Ambrosini, Jess Ainscough, Amanda Rootsey and I are going to rock your socks and warm your hearts. Buy your tickets here!

*Chrysocholla’s healing capacities include authentic expression, creativity and harnessing Goddess energy :)
Ps: I’m currently taking new clients, so if you’d love to work with me, reach out!
