Here’s a few questions for you to ponder.
Do you ever feel creatively stunted? Perpetually lethargic? How about just plain sleepy, all the time?
If you caught yourself nodding your head, then let’s connect the dots a little further…
How much have you been drinking?
In this awesome sneak peak of a 20 minute long conversation I had with (one of my favourite people in the world) Rach MacDonald, we talk about the impact that clutching on to your Party Girl career can have on your ability to cultivate creativity and joy.
Something that’s becoming glaringly obvious to me the more I work on the Party Girls Guide to Peace is this: non-Party Girls need this information just as much as those who are still walking through the door at 5am on Sunday morning.
You don’t have to be a jager-bomb guzzling uni student to understand that constantly reaching for the glass (whether it’s that jager-bomb, or a $200 bottle of shiraz) is a far cry from self care. If you long for a life rich in expression, authenticity, bounding energy, glowing skin and happy organs, then alcohol (or drugs) will act as a stubborn, persistent obstacle on your path to freedom.
One thing’s for sure, when you start (slowly but surely) closing the door on this fun, but highly destructive chapter of your life, new doors fly open quicker than you could imagine. Letting go of the Party Girl is the catalyst for unexplainable, incredible change. It’s the beginning of a journey that you’ll cherish and adore.
The Party Girls Guide to Peace is ready and waiting for you. If you’ve got a dysfunctional relationship with booze, drugs, food, people, or maybe yourself, join us. There’s a whole tribe of us, waiting to embrace you. Click the pic to learn more:
Sitting here, nodding in quiet agreement. You both emit that vibrance that comes from deep and consistent self-nurturing x

Beautiful message there girlies. You BOTH radiate joy. xx
Thank you honey.. So do you x
I loved this. It was so great to watch and especially loved the connection between self-care and creativity. I once read that creativity requires solitude and I agree, but I would also add that creativity requires a lot of naps, nice meals and many quite reflective moments. Great job!
Oh babe- do I agree with you or WHAT!
The creative cycle will demand different things from us at different times, and I know that when I retreat and revel in hermitude- yep- I need my nanna naps.
:)
This was absolutely beautiful. Thank you both so much – you both have a very natural, organic glow and everything about you two screams self-love and self-care. So lovely to see xxx
Gorgeous interview ladies. Such a big massive correlation between self love + self care and living life inspired. And whether it’s ditching the partying {or other “stuff”} this message rings so true for so many of us. x
