Looking Back. The Highlight Reel.

My man’s back. Oh yes he is.

It’s amazing how much my routine changes when Glen returns home…

My morning sunrise routine is a no-go, because frankly, my man prefers snuggles that early! Instead, we sleep in a little (and by sleep in, I mean 6am), and hit the beach for a run. Every meal is an event (and there’s photo evidence to prove it), and my meditation gets bumped back to a solo- dusk session on the sand. It’s a sacrifice I’m more than willing to make! :)

Glen and I are at that point in our lives when pottering around our apartment- buying succulents, stealing sand from the beach for DIY decorations, and rearranging everything we own- is a fun and exciting way to spend time together, which brings me to this. Can I just say how grateful I am to have a relationship like this? I giggle every now and then, when I realise how ‘grown up’ I am, and how at home the two of us feel when we’re together. I can’t help but think back on past relationships, where I was constantly stricken by inhibitions and worries; what if he doesn’t love me? What if he gets bored with me? Am I beautiful enough?

It warms my heart to know that those days are long gone, and that Glen and I can be total hobo’s around the house, and still know deep within us, that ‘yep, you’re the one.’ There’s also something utterly serene about watching your man make succulent gardens and light candles while the rain pours outside. Blissdom.

Alana

My dear, very special Alana.

We met at one of the earlier Night’s of Stillness in Brisbane a few months ago. From there, she hired me as her coach, and we hit it off like only kindred spirits can. I quickly learnt that she’s mighty handy with computers (and photoshop!) and brought her on board to help me the Party Girls Guide to Peace.

Now, I’m pleased to say that I’ve hired her as my Super Woman assistant. She is everything I’ve longed for in a team member, and so.much.more. I’m the luckiest girl ever.

Granny Undies and Whispers From the Ocean

Earlier in the week (before I got in trouble for jumping out of bed at 4:30am!), I mosied on down to the sea for my usual routine. Half way through my crystal meditation, I sat upright, and looked up the length of beach. Immediately, I somehow knew that I had to start running laps.

20 minutes later; all hot and sweaty, I was about to collect my things and head home, but my gaze was fixed on the ocean. It was about 6am, windy, and chilly. I laughed- as only a crazy person who communicates with the ocean can laugh- and thought: ‘REALLY?!?! All I’ve got under this is an old sports bra and a crappy pair of knickers and you want me to dive in?’

I went for it.

And now, I really, really, really know what it feels like to be enlivened.

Although… the same can be said for waking up in the dark and catching a gondola up the mountain peak on a pow day. I remember that feeling well, and it’s one and the same.

I sigh deeply just looking at these photos.

This is what friendship is all about. It’s what coaching is all about. It’s what entrepreneurship and sisterhood and LOVE is all about. 3 hugely significant women in my life right now; Belinda (my mentor), Susana (my stillness sister), and Rach (my #samebrain bestie); these babes are angels.

Fuck, the internet is so damn cool! Words fail. I’d really rather not imagine my life without the gifts of the internet; and topping that list of gifts, is friendships like these.

I could spend days on end with these three. Weeks even. And holy guacamole, it was all kinds of awesome meeting Belinda in person for the first time. After having mentored with her for about 6 weeks now, to see the face behind the voice (all our sessions are voice-only), was magical. I need to dedicate about 3, 736, 202 blogs posts to the deep work I’m doing with this Goddess… but maybe another time. If you haven’t’ subscribed to her list for her free Chakra Course and White Light Healings, then do yourself a favour and get onto it!

After a morning dip in the sea, and a trip to the organic farmers markets, Rach recommended Glen and I take a little drive down the coast to Fingal Head. What a beautiful little corner of the world. I can imagine myself taking the 20 minute trip solo, along with my lap top and notebook, and writing to the waves and the lighthouse. And is it just me, or there something ridiculously romantic and magical about light houses?

I also went easy on my body yesterday. I feasted on green juice and coconut water all day, before sitting down to half a glass of chardonnay, and what ended up being one of the best things I’ve ever eaten: Glen’s Raw Pad Thai. Recipe is coming soon, don’t worry! Oh, and dessert was raw passionfruit cheesecake. No biggie. :)

Here’s how YOU celebrated! Hashtag that shit, peeps! #selfcentredsundays

Facing Forward.

This week beckons : Head down, bum up! I’m ramping up my blogging schedule (expect more recipes, more crystal magic, and an interview series), and early bird places for the Party Girls Guide to Peace (link) ROUND 2 go on sale TOMORROW!

I want to feel : Aligned with the next phase. After settling beautifully into this new Burleigh life, I can feel the call to start taking a few risks again.

I’m going to say no to: Fluffing around. This is an ongoing theme for me at the moment. ‘Intention’ is a word I resonate with deeply. Rather than procrastinating, I will ‘intend’ to rest and re-energise. Rather than busting my ass, I will ‘intend’ to have a magically soul-productive day. Make sense?

And yes to: Preparation. Here’s my official attempt at weakening my READY, FIRE, AIM! ability, and instead, throwing a little more thought into the wind.

Firstly, I hope you have a wonderful, wonderful week ahead!

And secondly, I want to know, what is it that makes YOU feel utterly enlivened? Remember, often it’s not what’s easiest to do, or even the most comfortable. Jumping in the water before 6am on an overcast, cool morning comes with a hefty dose of resistance and hesitation, but it’s worth it in the end… Share with us in the comments below.

And don’t forget to check in with us tomorrow for you chance to grab a place in Round Two of the PGG2P at early bird prices!

Naww you included my #selflovesunday photo!

I had the most wonderful day yesterday – let myself catch up on some much needed sleep, delicious smoothie for breakfast, pottered around the kitchen trying out some new recipes then settled in for an afternoon of jewellery making which I haven’t done for a very long time. Thanks so much for the inspiration Tara.

      Tara! Another bomb of goodness.

My self-centred sunday was so hard this week! All I wanted to do was work! So, I forced myself not to, and invited a friend to come and stay with me the entire weekend. Then I said yes to an amazing dinner and dessert with a great friend on Sunday night – Right when I would have dipped into a few “could do’s”. The perfect distraction.

Can’t wait to see the Easter Addition! x x
