Weekly gratitude. Acknowledging the good stuff. And affirming that I would like more of it, pretty please and thank you. I’d like to make a habit of showcasing all the magic in my life. Let’s start with today.
Upgrading
I’ve never considered myself a material girl, but I can’t deny it- my new MacBook Air and iPhone are putting a sizeable grin on my face. It’s still Christmas around here.
For some, their financial vice is fashion. For others it might be having one too many glasses of wine on the weekend, or compulsive buying beautiful home wares for their living space. My money is spent on self improvement: online courses, books and natural products. Super foods are my crack. Recently I stocked up in Melbourne, and this is about half of my bounty. Needless to say, when it was time to check out and pay, I asked Glen if he could disappear immediately. Can you please wait outside babe? This is between me and my credit card. Unlike regret purchases I’ve made in the past, the dollar signs that come up in the health food store never sting me; it’s an expense in my life that I’ve made room for. I know many of you will be reading this thinking: hell yeah, I hear ya girl!
My Fringey Fringe
I got bored. I saw one too many photos of my gigantic forehead and declared Right! That’s it! And off it came. It’s a little more high-maintenance than my previous semi-tomboy-Lords-Of-Dogtown-skatey-dude-yeti-type-mane, but as a qualified hairdresser, I can handle it. It’s no biggie. Thoughts and feelings?
Green Smoothie Rebellion
Yay! I love this bliss list!! I’m getting a hair cut next week! LOVE the fringe by the way – you spot the fringe look so well you gorgeous lady. :) And upgrading – coming soon and so excited. And I totally hear you about going to a health food store. It feels like going into a toy store when I was a kid.. So proud of you for making a huge step towards your health and taking care of your body – you go girll!! Sending you lots of love! xoxo
I’m in love with my Mac babies, there’s no doubt about it! I’m with you on spending money on self-improvement and your fringe looks gorgeous. Going on a mini holiday with my boyfriend made my eyes bright and soul shine – so good to getaway for a couple of days :) x
Upgrading the ol’ laptop and phone (I still have a flip phone) sounds pretty awesome. And yeah, if there’s anything worth spending a lot of money on, it’s good food, or anything that contributes to your wellbeing, because what’s more important than that?
The bangs look good, they totally suit you! And 13 books sounds like heaven. :)
Right now I’m so freaking happy for the blue skies and hot sun, for my fully-stocked fridge, and for the great music I’m listening to (Mother Mother!). It’s the little things and life, right? :)
