The BLISS List

Get your bliss notes

Weekly gratitude. Acknowledging the good stuff. And affirming that I would like more of it, pretty please and thank you. I’d like to make a habit of showcasing all the magic in my life. Let’s start with today.

Upgrading

I’ve never considered myself a material girl, but I can’t deny it- my new MacBook Air and iPhone are putting a sizeable grin on my face. It’s still Christmas around here.

Anything that facilitates ease and evokes enthusiasm for ‘Office Hours’- I’ll say yes to. I’m spending a lot of time on my computer at the moment, thanks to frequent blogging, re-construction of my site and Rich, Happy and Hot B-School, and because of Apple, it’s an absolute pleasure (bless you, Mr. Jobs). One of my favourite features of this new technology is iCloud. Photos, notes, calendar events are much more are synced wirelessly between my phone and computer. Mind boggling. This morning I spent a good hour scheduling blog posts into iCal, and just like magic, every event skipped through cyber space, landing in my phone. Totally revolutionary. The world is a better place with Apple.
Investing in Myself

For some, their financial vice is fashion. For others it might be having one too many glasses of wine on the weekend, or compulsive buying beautiful home wares for their living space. My money is spent on self improvement: online courses, books and natural products. Super foods are my crack. Recently I stocked up in Melbourne, and this is about half of my bounty. Needless to say, when it was time to check out and pay, I asked Glen if he could disappear immediately. Can you please wait outside babe? This is between me and my credit card. Unlike regret purchases I’ve made in the past, the dollar signs that come up in the health food store never sting me; it’s an expense in my life that I’ve made room for. I know many of you will be reading this thinking: hell yeah, I hear ya girl!

My Fringey Fringe

I got bored. I saw one too many photos of my gigantic forehead and declared Right! That’s it! And off it came. It’s a little more high-maintenance than my previous semi-tomboy-Lords-Of-Dogtown-skatey-dude-yeti-type-mane, but as a qualified hairdresser, I can handle it. It’s no biggie. Thoughts and feelings?

Green Smoothie Rebellion

This was a totally bas ass moment, I loved it. Ever smuggled a green smoothie into a pub before?

More beautiful moments.
Conquering to-do’s > Teary emails and love-fest tweets with my friend-crushes (aka bloggy buddies)- seriously heart warming > Fennel tea with coconut oil > Dreaming big and projecting awesomeness > Skinny jeans, converse shoes and over-sized sweaters > Making bunk bed style share accommodation feel like home > B-School > Slowing down (but revving up at the same time) > Knowing that thirteen (thirteen!!) books are in the mail and coming my way > Creating more space for what I love, and less for what I don’t.
Now, tell me what’s made your eyes bright and your soul shine this week. I’d love you leave a comment, or write about it on your own blog, leaving a link to your bliss list below.
Have a wonderful weekend!

I’m in love with my Mac babies, there’s no doubt about it! I’m with you on spending money on self-improvement and your fringe looks gorgeous. Going on a mini holiday with my boyfriend made my eyes bright and soul shine – so good to getaway for a couple of days :) x

Upgrading the ol’ laptop and phone (I still have a flip phone) sounds pretty awesome. And yeah, if there’s anything worth spending a lot of money on, it’s good food, or anything that contributes to your wellbeing, because what’s more important than that?

The bangs look good, they totally suit you! And 13 books sounds like heaven. :)

Right now I’m so freaking happy for the blue skies and hot sun, for my fully-stocked fridge, and for the great music I’m listening to (Mother Mother!). It’s the little things and life, right? :)
