What Does Freedom Mean to Me? A Q&A Video

Get your bliss notes

what does freedom mean

I love me some good Q&A.

And my beautiful new friend, Claire Obeid, has asked me some pretty damn fine Q’s to A. Even if I do say so myself.

Claire is the creator of the The Wellness Project (a bloody divine corner of the web), and to celebrate the relaunch of her eCourse, The Freedom Project, we’re cracking open a conversation today about that very thing.

Freedom is one of my favourite words and concepts. In fact last year, one of my Core Desired Feelings was FREE, and I learnt so much about myself and the energy of that word while I was looking to it as my lighthouse for 12 months.

And since then, my experience of freedom has shape shifted – morphed, transformed – from one of escapism to surrender. Take a deep sigh with me here, because I’ll tell you what, it feels so much more perfect this way!

I hope you enjoy this video. It’s unscripted, unrehearsed, completely off the cuff, and I hope it makes you smile.

What does freedom mean to me?

What about you, gorgeous?

Tell me this. 1/ Use ONE word to describe how freedom feels in your body. 2/ What colour is freedom? 3/ If freedom were a song, which would it be?

And as for Claire, you can find out more about this goddess right here. :)

Have a rockin’ rest of your day.

Tara

This is an interesting concept. Especially as an American “Freedom” is almost like a patriotic term to me. It’s so part of the political rhetoric that I don’t gravitate to it as a word to guide my life. So this is a fun exercise.

      Word: Openness or Allowing
      Color: White or Yellow
Song: Sympathy for the Devil- Rolling Stones, this is the song I put on when I want to go for a run, get in the zone and clear my head.

I love this because it reminds me that we really do give everything in our life meaning. We can craft our own definitions, define our own terms… It’s just awesome.

Thanks so much for sharing, lady x

      Love this video!

1/ OPEN. When I feel free, I feel calm, expansive, like I could spin myself open.
2/ YELLOW. This was the color that came to my mind when I asked myself the question.. I’m not sure why, I’m not sure I would have said it if I had really thought it out, but I s’pose it’s how I feel!
3/ This one’s a real toughie…probably Sara Bareilles’s ‘Brave’ or ‘King of Anything’ or Joni Mitchell’s ‘Carey’ or ‘All I Want’ !

      xx
