Danielle LaPorte is a feisty, fire starting, incredible woman to be reckoned with, and I’ve been following her for quite some time now. I love how interactive her website is; she’ll write a post, ask her readers to share their answers on their blog and then link the URL to the blog response on her website. This is such a kick ass idea! Everyone can have their voice heard, in the place where they are most comfortable and feel the most beautiful- on their very own blog page. Bravo, Danielle, such innovation!
Recently she asked: What’s Your Super Hero Name?
Although this photo suggests it, my answer is not Lara Croft, even though I’m clearly dominating Bumblebee- a friend of mine who actually transformed! My answer is a little less bad ass- although at the same time, when I really think about it, it’s almost even more rock star then Tomb Raider herself.
I am The Bliss Machine!
Quick moving, though often still. Lost in peaceful thoughts. Breathing in oxygen and love. Constantly looking to let go. On a mission to inspire. Smiling. Drinking green juice. Making those around me green juice shots! Laughing at anything ridiculous. Sending love letters to friends abroad. Constantly reminding my husband of how damn sexy and sweet he is. Lengthening with yoga. Connecting. In awe of nature. In love with our animal neighbours. Excited and enlivened by Mother Earth’s bounty of vegetables, fruits and whole grains. Always making mistakes, then, always healing. Meditating light and love. Manifesting life’s affluence. Searching for authenticity. Protecting my family.
In case you didn’t know, my name is Tara Bliss. I recently married my soul mate, and still I chose to keep my name, rather than traditionally adopting his {which thankfully, Glen was totally cool with}. From a very young age, I have felt a strong connection to bliss. I remember being so annoyed growing up and seeing my surname, which I thought was so special, being bastardised on every second business’ logo, Bliss was everywhere {and still is}! It’d also confuse me every time I saw it spelt without a capital B.
To me, bliss in not just a word that can be used interchangeably with happiness. I’ve really begun to realise this recently, and as I creep closer and closer towards my truth and authenticity, my fascination with Ayurveda has provided me with the mantra for my name, and my the life I’m heading toward.
‘More than the absence of disease, Ayurveda’s definition of health includes psychological and spritual wellbeing; the very essence of bliss’.*

I love your super-hero name! I didn’t change my “maiden” name either when I got married so we have that in common. I need to think about my super-hero name though…it would have to include something like Green Goddess or ??? :)
Bliss is SUCH a wonderful word! One of my faves for sure. My super hero name would be something along the lines of The Sparkle Meister! xx
